I have created a few puzzles for little Bear, hiding book and film titles with emojis. It was really fun to create and it was fun for Bear to guess. When he figured out all titles, he turned the game around and he was creating puzzles himself, for me to guess. It is a short, funny game and helps the kids to think with associations, because with the emojis you can not express everything directly.
Fo the younger ones it is recommended to start with the easier, more straightforward ones and go towards the ones requiring more associations.
Here are a few we used, the more international titles, but feel free to create new ones with your child's favourite books or films.
And here is the solution for the puzzles:
Page 1. Snow White Julia Donaldson - Monkey Puzzle The three little pigs Hansel and Gretel Red Riding Hood Frozen (film) Julia Donaldson - Room on a Broom Drew Daywalt & Oliver Jeffers - The day the crayons quit Oliver Jeffers - Lost and Found Page 2. Axel Scheffler - Pip and Posy. The new friend Michle Bond - A bear called Paddington A. A. Milne - Winnie the Pooh Julia Donaldson - The Smartest Giant in Town Julia Donaldson - The Quash and a Squeeze Johanna Spyri - Heidi Eric Carle - The hungry caterpillar Dr. Seuss - Green eggs and ham Andersen - The ugly duckling
